A long time ago, in a baking blog far, far away you visited my blog and were sweet enough to leave a comment. I’m FINALLY getting back to my comments now. Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for your kind words.

Besides getting back to my comments I'm trying to actually enjoy reading more blogs besides just combing for recipes that catch my eye. I'm astounded by the quality of writing that I continually come across and yours is included in those ranks. "Pussycat adventure"...what a wonderful idea and story.

As to your blog design, Wow. Really. I wish I knew more about coding so I could refine my blog, but there are only so many hours in the day...ugh!

From reading your last post you should be in Thailand (yes?). I hope you have a wonderful time. When you come back tell us all about it!

Aunt Bea: Awww shucks.

Rachel: The Owl and the Pussycat is one of my favorite pieces of poetry, in fact, I have two illustrated versions.

Sandy: I'm totally, totaly flattered that you've been lurking around these parts. Nope, it's not India...stay tuned.

The new site is beautiful, glad you didn't change the radiant head shot.
Happy happy holidays and I look forward to seeing the colours and flavours you meet melt into life in recipies.

Edward Lear for your travels - its all about honey, travels and dancing afterall.

The Owl and the Pussy-cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea green boat,
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five pound note.
The Owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
'O lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
          You are,
          You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!'

II

Pussy said to the Owl, 'You elegant fowl!
    How charmingly sweet you sing!
O let us be married! too long we have tarried:
But what shall we do for a ring?'
They sailed away, for a year and a day,
To the land where the Bong-tree grows
And there in a wood a Piggy-wig stood
With a ring at the end of his nose,
          His nose,
          His nose,
With a ring at the end of his nose.

III

'Dear pig, are you willing to sell for one shilling
Your ring?' Said the Piggy, 'I will.'
So they took it away, and were married next day
By the Turkey who lives on the hill.
They dined on mince, and slices of quince,
    Which they ate with a runcible spoon;
And hand in hand, on the edge of the sand,
They danced by the light of the moon,
          The moon,
          The moon,
They danced by the light of the moon.
